How did your modelling career start?
Vanya: Since I was a young girl, my father used to tell me that I look like spaghetti :) tall and skinny. I started modelling during high school as a hobby. When I arrived in Malta, I was noticed by Roberta, and I have been so glad ever since.
Jess: I had been scouted before when I was in my early teens, however my modelling career started after I had agreed to do a casual photoshoot with a photographer. A few months later this photographer put my name through to Noticed Models. After I was signed, it all propelled from there.
What’s your personal style?
Vanya: I like details. I follow several blogs because I like to see different styles and people, but most of all get inspired. I like to add my personal touch to basic clothing, such as a nice chunky unusual piece of jewelry, or a colourful bag, or some nice shiny shoes paired with jeans and a white t-shirt. My favourite are a pair of Tommy Hilfiger ankle brown leather boots which I wore for the whole year with all my clothes combinations. I was just in love with them!
After I was signed, it all propelled from there.
Jess: I love experimenting and throwing together outfits according to my mood, and the music I’m listening to at the time. I am not a regular customer of any particular brand or designer, as my wardrobe is more of a mix of thrift store finds, vintage acquisitions and bargains I’ve found in random shops.
Can you share with us the most exciting place you have been to?
Vanya: I recently travelled to Barcelona just to relax, but it's impossible to avoid La Rambla street with top Spanish and international brands. The Spanish language sounds so nice and people are so cheerful but most of all... Zara is cheaper then anywhere else! You can imagine how much I enjoyed it!
Jess: I know it’s not very glamourous, but I would say Download Festival in the U.K. Five days of live music, camping and new friends, makes this festival my favourite place to be.
