Victoria Rotchenkova is one a digital influencer and an Instagram goddess. Having 17K followers, this lovely lady can make eating noodles look like the most sophisticated food to eat on the planet. Her Instagram feed is full of gorgeous outfit posts, the best places to hang out and shots of herself enjoying the Maltese weather.
Here’s an insight into Victoria’s career, lifestyle and future plans.
How did you start your journey as an influencer?
I always considered social media as an inspiration platform. In my case, I have always swayed towards fashion. I started with Pinterest. I loved to pin posted pictures onto boards. I felt that this helped me to express my own vision for fashion, interior, business etc. At some point, this motivated me to start doing my own. I started to take Instagram seriously back in 2013 when I was studying in Finland. Back then, my Instagram feed wasn’t really about fashion. It was mostly about art in everyday life. By time, I started to focus more on fashion and inspirational posts.
Can you describe your audience?
I believe that my audience are strong people that know what they want. They love to travel and, of course, they like fashion! I have been gone through hard times and unfair situations before I have learnt that I need to fight for what I love. My audience are people like me and all I want from my social media is to help people fight for what they are good at! I think that there are so many people in the world that are unhappy with what they do while they could be making the world a better place by following their dreams and using their talents!
How do you keep your audience engaged?
I try to do my best and reply to every comment and text that I receive from my audience. I receive a lot of messages about how I edit my photos, which apps I use etc. It took me a long time to discover these things but I make it a point to share it with my audience. I am actually planning a post about this soon so stay tuned!
Who’s taking the photos of you?
My photos are actually taken completely random. My main photographer is my boyfriend who I appreciate so much as sometimes it is really hard to get a good picture. I am so proud of him because he has greatly improved his Instagram photography. He knows exactly what I want and sometimes he just says, ‘trust me, you have it!’ Also, I try to constantly meet up with other bloggers so that we can create good content together. I believe that together we are a huge power!
How are you planning to grow your following?
I think people who like me and like my work will always be around me and I will always be extremely grateful for everything that happens to me in my career.
Do you have any big plans ahead?
OH YES! I have many many plans. But I prefer to fulfil them first before sharing!
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I see myself being more successful in what I do and helping more people to figure out what they really love! I am also a musician and a professional classical pianist. Every day, apart from pictures on Instagram, shoots, work, going to the gym – I practice for at least 1-2hrs. I work on my voice and improving my piano skills. This part of my life is very important for my wellbeing. I am very grateful that I’m working with the best vocal coach ever in Malta. In next 5 years, I see myself as a stronger, better, smarter and a more skilled person in all the areas I want myself to develop in.
